Chapter 1- The Dark Lord Ascending

This chapter was about the gathering of the death eaters and Voldemort to discuss what should become of Harry Potter. They knew that they would soon be able to get him because of the fact that a lot of stuff in Harry Potter's life was about to change. One of the death eaters also reminded Voldemort that Harry Potter would soon turn seventeen which meant that he would no longer have the magical protection of his mother around him any longer.
Voldemort immediatley let all of his followers or death eaters know that he would be the one to kill Harry Potter since he had tried and failed multiple times. Voldemort let his followers also know that they were not just gathered at the Malfoy's place to discuss Harry Potter but to discuss a former teacher from Hogwarts. This teacher had taught about how muggles are not that different from witches and wizzards which made Voldemort very furious.

It was not a surprise that she was eaten by Voldemort's pet snake Nagani. Voldemort finally confirmed that they would attack Harry Potter when they knew that he had turned seventeen. Until then they would hide and wait until they had their chance to go after him and catch him by surprise.
What I enjoyed the most about the chapter was the fascinating and intense introduction that sets the rest of the story. It gives you an idea of what Harry Potter is in store for after the previous book when Dumbledoore left him the impossible task of destroying the horcruxes and killing Voldemort. The openning chapter deffinitely leaves you excited to learn what is to come in the rest of the book or to reread what you have read before because it is that good.

The kind of notes that I would use for this blog would be thought bubble because it would give me a chance to organize my thoughts and to sort out my thoughts into particular bubbles so that I am not just throwing all of my thoughts into one big mess.

  1. Of all the Harry Potter books this is probably going to be my favorite since this is my first time reading through them. If you are reading through them once and or rereading them I hope that you will or have been enjoying the series as much as I have. The best thing about the last book from what I have heard from people and from what I am doing now is that once you pick it up you will not want to put it down.
